Can get Confluence to startup, even after working throught recommendation on page

Confluence had problems starting up

This page is for Confluence administrators. If you're seeing this page, your Confluence administrator is probably working to restore the service.

I have log files for you to review, if need.  I didn't see where to upload.  I really need this system back up, we have alot of import data in it.

And the cloud instance is a great alternative to not need to deal with these types of database admin issues. I figure it out.  The log file on the sql database needed to be shrinked.  It had grown to large.  Once I shrinked it, everything came online.  I will be looking to move it to cloud..

From your logs, it looks like Confluence is having a hard time connecting to the database. The key portion here is:

Last acquisition attempt exception:
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Cannot open database "Conf" requested by the login. The login failed.

* Were there any changes to your environment around the time this started happening?
* Can you connect to the database using the same credentials in a third-party database application such as SQL Server management studio?
