Can I set due-date on main JIRA Issue and have it auto-populate to the associated sub-task issues?

We are using JIRA (v7.9.2), when creating an issue we will set a "due date" but when the sub-tasks are created as part of the workflow, the due date field is blank.  Is there an easy solution to modify the Issue type schemes or Workflow schemes so that when an issue is created and assigned a due date, that same due date is auto-populated in each of the associated sub-task(s)?
