Welcome to another edition of the Ecosystem Digest! Now that we’re well on our way into 2025, check out what we’ve done and what we have planned to help ensure your confidence in the Atlassian Ecosystem and Marketplace.
[coming soon] See trust centers for apps right from the privacy and security tab: Soon we will release a new feature that allows Marketplace Partners to display verified third-party trust center links directly on the Atlassian Marketplace, appearing in the app listing and partner profile! This makes it easier than ever for customers to understand how apps handle security, compliance, and privacy.
App activity logs: Jira and Confluence app audit logs will be visible on atlassian.admin.com for customers with Atlassian Guard Premium or cloud enterprise licenses. This new logging solution enhances security and improves app transparency. It enables admins to monitor app activity while delivering incident response and streamlined compliance reporting. Driving higher Marketplace standards: Recent changes to our partner program help us continue to improve how we meet the compliance needs of our enterprise customers, especially for our core products.
Starting July 1, 2025, Atlassian Platinum Marketplace Partners will need to possess SOC2 Type II or ISO27001:2022 compliance and have a third-party validated Trust Center, while Gold partners will be required to be in the process of obtaining one of these certifications.
To help Marketplace Partners reach these goals, we have teamed up with third-party experts, Vanta, to simplify and streamline the compliance process. Interested Partners should contact their Partner Manager or visit vanta.com/atlassian for more information.
Streamlining app legal agreements: Atlassian has partnered with Bonterms to help our Marketplace Partners standardize and adopt customizable legal agreements. This means customers can simplify their legal reviews by not having to read distinct legal agreements for every app! Instead, legal teams can familiarize themselves with the standard agreement and then review the provider-specific terms, which outline any changes made for that individual app— helping users enjoy a uniform approach across all their apps.
