Personal email hacked and deleted, request to move Admin to secondary email

Question

Hi, my [email address removed for privacy] account was hacked and deleted. I was able to share my board with my secondary email before being logged out. I can't log in into Trello with hotmail account anymore because of 2-step verification code. Please help me giving Admin rights to my secondary account.

As mentioned earlier, due to security and privacy concerns, we can't change your account email, add you to the board, or promote you to admin. https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/why-support-cant-grant-access-to-your-account/

In this case, the only way to regain access to the board is to reach out to other board admins and ask them to add your new account.

My problem is I can't access my emails on hotmail because that email account has been deleted. So I can't reach your verification emails, therefore I can't log in to my Trello account.

Could you update the email address in my Trello account? Or could you disable 2FA?

I've taken a look at your account linked to your Hotmail email address, and it's still active on our end. I also noticed that some emails were being suppressed, so I've gone ahead and run an unsuppress command, which should allow verification emails to come through again.

With that done, could you try logging in to Trello once more using your Hotmail email, then reset the password and 2FA? That should get you back in.

One thing worth flagging: because the current admin account on the board is active, we can't promote another member to admin status for security reasons. You can find more details on why that's the case here: Why Support can't grant access to your account | Trello | Atlassian Support
