I'd love to see voice interaction capabilities added to Rovo. Currently, Rovo only supports text-based chat, but adding the ability to speak queries and hear spoken responses would be a significant improvement.
Why this matters:
Accessibility — Voice interaction makes Rovo more inclusive for users with different needs
Multitasking — Users could interact with Rovo hands-free while working on other tasks
Speed — Speaking is often faster than typing, especially for complex queries
Modern UX — Voice assistants are now standard in most AI-powered tools, and Rovo would benefit from keeping pace
Suggested functionality:
Speech-to-text input so users can speak their queries
Text-to-speech output so Rovo can read responses aloud
A simple mic button in the chat interface to toggle voice mode
This would make Rovo feel more natural and conversational, and significantly improve the day-to-day experience of using it.
Hey @Suhanaa Official ,
I know voice interaction is currently available through the Rovo mobile app. Although it can only capture context, it cannot read responses aloud.
But yeah - having this would be cool. I've used this principle of interaction with ChatGPT and it's quite cool.
What I'd suggest is reaching out to Atlassian Support and giving them context and your requirement(s). They can probably create a new feature request and share this feedback with the product team. 👈
Cheers,
Tobi
True, the prompting would be much faster for Rovo. Feature requests can be posted in here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa - you need to find the most accurate project to make the feature requests. My recommendation is adding [ROVO] placeholder for your feature request.

For most projects, we don't have create permissions. So like @Tomislav Tobijas said, you have to go through Support to have Feature Requests added.
