Over the past months, your feedback has helped us shape Rovo Dev into a smarter, more connected AI teammate for developers and teams. Today, we’re opening up access to new features that make your workflows even more powerful, contributing even more to other areas of SDLC.

Rovo Dev in Jira

We are bringing the IDE experience into Jira with Rovo Dev.

Rovo Dev in Jira is essentially Rovo Dev CLI in the cloud, allowing you to generate code directly from your work items. It moves your issue from planning to coding, pull request creation, test and build. Each session is managed by Rovo Dev agent that knows your context, and it tracks your status so you always know your progress.

What are the advantages:

1. Effortlessly generate code directly from a Jira work item without cloning the repo or checking out a branch.

2. Scale your usage of Rovo Dev by triggering multiple backlog issues selecting multiple work items at a time. Think about all those repetitive, toilsome tasks you don’t want to do manually!

Rovo Dev Automations

Productivity for software teams is increased through automation in Rovo Dev’s Code Reviewer. Automation rules may be created to:

• Enforcing code quality standards at scale across teams and multiple repos.

• Eliminate or delegate repetitive tasks, letting your team focus on important work.

Once you’ve defined your coding, security, accessibility, privacy, or design standards, Rovo Dev will automatically review every pull request to ensure these requirements are met across all teams and repositories.

You can also provide custom instructions for Rovo Dev to follow on specific pull requests, or define common coding patterns for the agent to use when generating code for repetitive tasks.

Note, to create automation rules in your Jira projects, you do need Admin access.
