Rovo – your AI teammate – has a new skill! We are pumped to introduce the Deep Research feature in Rovo.

It's designed to take on the kind of deep-dive projects you’ve been putting off—those ones that take hours of planning, searching, reading, and writing. Instead, Rovo Deep Research handles it in minutes.

To be perfectly specific, Deep Research is advanced AI that plans your approach, searches across sources, reasons through the findings, and delivers a comprehensive, structured report. In short: it goes deep, so you don’t have to.

And yes, Web Search is coming soon—so you’ll be able to let Deep Research reference external sources from the web, if you ask it to.

How it works

Whether you're writing a strategy doc, responding to a leadership question, or getting up to speed on a new topic, Deep Research saves you hours of manual work. It combines AI with your organization’s data—from Atlassian and connected SaaS apps—to deliver structured, in-depth reports in minutes.

When you ask a Deep Research question, Rovo performs dozens of searches, reads hundreds of sources, and reasons through the material to autonomously deliver a comprehensive report. It takes care of the grunt work so you can spend more time using the insights, not gathering them.

Where you can access it

Deep Research is built right into Rovo Chat and Agents, so you can launch it wherever you already work—whether that’s in Confluence, Jira, or via our browser extension. No need to switch apps or copy-paste information between tabs.

To get started, open Rovo Chat, select “Deep Research” in the prompt field, and type your question or topic. From there, Deep Research takes over. It performs searches, reads and analyzes through relevant materials, and compiles a tailored report—leveraging the data you have access to. Everything runs within the bounds of your permissions, so it only pulls from content you’re authorized to see.

What you get

You’ll receive a fully documented, expert-level analysis connected to your data, with clear citations and a summary of its reasoning, making it easy to reference and verify the information.

What would take hours to compile will be done in just a few minutes.

Is this being released slowly to all customers? We don't see it yet. We are on Premium Jira, JSM, Confluence, etc...
