Trying to verify ownership of a domain

Hi,

I had a problem in this topic, as well. I have an Azure trial subscription, with AD and DNS zone to have ability modify DNS records. I pasted in the right txt line to records.

But in the admins portal I cannot verify this domain. How can be it?

I can see that the verification is still in progress. 

Are there any errors on the Domain's page on the Organization?

For more details, please check the documentation below:

• Verify a domain for your organization

Depending on your DNS host, it may take up to 72 hours for your domain to verify and DNS changes to take effect, which is why the domain in the Domains table will have an UNVERIFIED status. After 72 hours pass, click Verify domain next to the domain you want to verify and from the dialog that appears.

Once you have verified your domain, your domain will be in a verified state but you will not have claimed your user accounts. The next section covers what to do when you land on the Claim accounts screen.

I did setup based on this document. But I still get this message:

Checking the details of the domain, it seems that it has an issue with the subdomain configuration on Azure. 

nslookup -type=SOA attilasalanki1983gmail.onmicrosoft.com

** server can't find attilasalanki1983gmail.onmicrosoft.com: NXDOMAIN

Please, follow the steps of the documentation below and try to verify the domain again:

Sorry for my late reply, but I had a long holiday. I checked what you linked, but I think I have not subdomain, because it have to seems like this: something.attilasalanki1983gmail.onmicrosoft.com, but I have just this: attilasalanki1983gmail.onmicrosoft.com

Since it's returning that error "server can't find attilasalanki1983gmail.onmicrosoft.com: NXDOMAIN", further searching, we believe that it could be related to the private azure DNS zone, because since it can't find that domain, it seems that it's not public.

• What is a private Azure DNS zone
•  DNS - Resolve "server can't find example.com: NXDOMAIN" 
• Server can't find NXDOMAIN

I didn't find any similar case where the domain looks like yours. The cases related to onmicrosoft.com domain are usually @domain.onmicrosoft.com.

I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to the same issue and they suggested to contact Azure support and I would suggest the same because it is a configuration on the Azure side that is preventing the domain from being verified.

Please, reach out to them so they can help you with the configuration.
