weird sound over my voice for 9 seconds

I have a recording that I need to save/clean somehow. There are 9 seconds where there is a strange noise NOT from my side of things but from LOOM that comes in over my voice. I can hear my voice underneath the noise. I have to clean this up somehow but I lack the knowledge on even how to pose the question to AI properly. I've tried twice to submit the problem but the ticket never shows up.

Can anyone out there help me? It's for a job application.

A former radio producer here.

I don't think Loom has built in tools to clean the audio track of random noises.

There is a background noise filter but the feature is intended to remove steady background noise (air conditioning hum, street noise, etc.)

 

You can certainly remove noise from an audio recording in pretty much any sound processing tool (including free Audacity). But that means isolating an audio track from the recording and then mixing it back in a video editing software.

Chances are there are video editing tools that would also offer noise removal options.

To ask AI, try prompting

"I have a video recorded in Loom. There is a 9-second software-induced digital glitch/static that plays simultaneously over my speaking voice. Loom's built-in noise reduction cannot fix it. What third-party AI audio repair tools or advanced audio editing techniques can isolate and rebuild a human voice while removing digital distortion?"

To prevent similar glitches in future, ensure you have steady internet connection (switch to ethernet from wifi), close unnecessary software and browser tabs, use headphones to avoid feedback loop and audio cut outs (software intermittently muting your microphone), move your phone farther from the microphone.

As a backup, put your phone into an airplane mode and record the audio on your phone.

Edit: Actually, as an extreme measure, you can re-record the affected bit and then use audio editing tools (even in basic video editors), to replace the offending bit in the original track. YouTubers do it all the time.

Obviously, that would work if it's only your voice in that glitchy bit.
