When moving several Task issue types (each with several Sub-Tasks) to a new Jira project, the sprint value is only partially carried over to the SuboTasks.  Not sure why.

NOTE:  All items are in CLOSED status and sprint value is for a closed sprint.

Sub tasks do not have sprints, so I'm not exactly sure what your problem is here.  Could you explain more please?

Sub-Tasks can be assigned to a sprint, so a bit confused -- at least subtasks in my Jira board can be assigned to a sprint.

No, they can't.  A sub-task is only "in" a sprint as part of its parent issue.

Unless you've defined your own Sprint field, which won't be the one Jira is using for the board.
