Hello everyone,
we are currently developing an Atlassian Connect app that stores data in a custom field of a JSON type. This works fine, however, by default JIRA keeps track of any changes made to that field and displays those changes in the history/activity stream. This quickly produces a long wall of text (JSON changes) that is meaningless for the end-users. Ideally, we would want to either replace those messages with our own, or disable the audit/history tracking for the custom field altogether. Is there any way to achieve that?
Best,
Sebastian.
Are there any news on this topic?... I am planning to add one custom field in my Jira Cloud, however that field may contain very sensitive information that cannot be disclosed anywhere, including logs...

Thanks, but this seems to talk about custom fields on Jira server. I don't think you can add new custom field types on Jira Cloud?
