It is hard to say what might be the cause without getting more information..
Overall first we should check the logs files. Is there anything suspicious?
By saying "long time" what time exactly do you mean?
Does it finally successfully loads and you are able to log in?
Have you recently changed something that suddenly could made this instance slow? Any upgrade?
