Bug? Connections field rendering issue

Hi JPD team, I've encountered what appears to be a connections field rendering bug affecting a small subset of items in my workspace, and I'd appreciate your help resolving it.

My Environment

  • Affected items: ~3 out of 500 items in my space
  • Setup: Using connections to link work types across spaces (global connection fields)
  • Duration: Issue started recently, while this specific item and some connections have been established since July, 2025 and had been operating as expected.

Issue Description

On the affected items, connection fields display only the connection count, not the detailed table view with connected items and highlighted fields while in the Space.

What's not working:

  • Connections tab on item detail view: Shows count of items connected but renders back an empty table in the view
  • Connection field columns in views (list, board, timeline): No data displayed
  • Affected items have 10+ actual connections that should be visible across two different connected types to this item

What IS working:

  • All other 497+ items display connections correctly
  • The same affected items render properly in Roadmaps with all connections visible
  • Connections are actually linked (count is accurate)

I have taken a number of steps to try and resolve this for my team, but can't seem to isolate the root issue over the past week. I've:

  • Refreshed page/cleared cache
  • Verified connection field configuration (bidirectional fields exist for each type)
  • Tested across multiple views (list, board, timeline) and confirmed no active filters.

Could you help identify why these specific items aren't rendering connection details?  Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to help with this investigation and I hope there is a way to get these items back online soon.

Thanks for your help!
Mike

Hi Mike, our apologies for the late reply. For this one we'd need access to your site to investigate. Could you please raise a support ticket (that's the only way for us to get access)

from JPD: Feedback > Get help from the support team

You can just paste "Tanguy from the Jira Product Discovery team asked me to raise this ticket so the JPD team can get access to our site to investigate a potential bug we're facing with connection fields, as per this discussion: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-Product-Discovery-questions/Bug-Connections-field-rendering-issue/qaq-p/3201828" and submit
