Access granting to project as Creator

Hello,

Free plan allows 3 seats as creators. I am within this limit. I have granted on Organization level added 2 users to "jira-product-discover-users-my-org-id", but those users do not yet have creator privileges. Then i tried on "Project -> Settings -> Access", grant privleges even for one of the users, but the form do not allow to change role from default to "Creator", tip informs that only Standard Plan allows specifying other Role for user.

So question, how can i grant "Creator" role to existing Jira Product Discovery Project, on Free plan, within 3 seats?

Hi @Ernest Kuttubaev , I think that's because you're making changes in Space settings. 

In there you can grant users the ability to be creator in the space. But it only works if the users have been granted a license. Confusingly, we also call this "creator":

The way to think about it:

• You have a license = you're a creator in the site (meaning: you're able to use all the features of JPD for editing ideas, etc.)
• You have the creator role in a space = you are a creator in the space (as in: you can edit ideas in that space). 

To grant a user a license, you need to go to admin.atlassian.com, in the Users section.

Beware that when you give someone a role, they inherit the role given by space access first and then, you can give them more permissions by adding them to the list below and granting a more generous space role.

• In Open spaces, everyone on your Jira site is given the default creator role.

• In Limited spaces, everyone on your Jira site is given the default contributor role.

• In Private spaces, only Jira admins and people you add to the space have a role.
