Now Live: Global Views for Jira Product Discovery

Hi everyone,

We're excited to announce that Global Views is now generally available in Jira Product Discovery! 🎉

This is one of the most requested features from teams managing multiple spaces, and we can't wait for you to try it.

What problem does it solve?

If you’ve ever curated the perfect roadmap or prioritization view only to realize you have to manually recreate it across 10 other spaces, you know the pain. Global Views lets you build once and sync everywhere, ending "view drift" and manual admin work.

The Solution: Create Once, Use Everywhere

Global Views let admins create a view once and reuse it across multiple JPD spaces. When the view configuration changes, those updates automatically stay in sync everywhere the view is used, no more rebuilding, no more drift. Global Views is a premium feature.

Whether you're standardizing a roadmap view, rolling out a shared prioritization framework, or giving leadership a consistent portfolio view across teams, Global Views makes it effortless.

How to get started

It’s simple, no complex configuration required:

Start from with a new view

1. Go to Settings (top nav) > Jira apps > JPD (side nav) > Global views

2. Create and configure a Global view like a regular space view

3. Add the global view to a space / multiple spaces.

Save a space view as global

1. In the sidebar, click the "..." button next to a view

2. Click save as global view.

That's it, your view is now live across all selected spaces and will stay in sync going forward.

Some limitations to keep in mind:

• The view itself is always a preview. We do not render any ideas here as we are not in the right context. i.e. no space = no ideas.

• Only global and system fields are allowed. Space fields cannot be used in global views.

• Filtering by statuses is not available yet. We're working on supporting global statuses.

• Matrix view is not yet supported.
