Jira Align Rovo Skill Early Access Program

We’re excited to launch the Early Access Program (EAP) for the Jira Align Rovo Skill as part of the broader Rovo Skills EAP. Continue reading to learn more about Jira Align’s inclusion in the program, what’s included, and how eligible customers can participate.

The Jira Align Rovo Skill unlocks AI-powered insights from Jira Align. Ask natural‑language questions about Jira Align data directly in Rovo, bringing strategy and execution insights into the flow of work. As an EAP participant, you’ll help us validate value, accuracy, and usability ahead of broader availability.

What is the Jira Align Rovo Skill?

It’s a Rovo capability that securely queries Jira Align data to answer questions and summarize insights for strategy and execution leadership. Ask questions in natural language and Rovo will return concise answers with context from your Jira Align instance.

Example prompts you can try:

  • Which epics are at risk this quarter and why? Provide top 3 drivers.

  • Summarize the business value and status of objectives targeting completion in the current year

  • What features are blocked and which dependencies are causing issues?

  • List risks with highest business impact and recommend mitigations.

Who is this for?

  • Portfolio managers and PMOs connecting strategy to delivery
  • Program leaders, RTEs, solution managers needing cross‑program visibility
  • Executives and chiefs of staff who want fast, trustworthy roll‑ups
  • Jira Align admins enabling AI assistance across portfolios

Key benefits

  • Faster insight to action: reduce manual data wrangling across portfolios and programs.

  • Traceability you can trust: surface connected insights across objectives, funding, dependencies, and delivery signals.

  • Executive‑ready summaries: concise updates for leadership, prepared in minutes.

What’s included in this EAP

  • Access to the Jira Align Rovo Skill inside Rovo (e.g., via Rovo Chat) with supported queries against your Jira Align data.

  • Weekly touchpoints for questions and feedback through your Atlassian contact or Community thread.

  • A feedback channel to influence improvements prior to broader release.

  • During this EAP, the Jira Align Rovo Skill focuses on read and summarize use cases. It does not write changes to your Jira Align data.

Known limitations in EAP:

  • Rovo understands Jira Align’s default terminology; heavily customized labels may need clarification in prompts.

  • Rovo Skill won't work for sandbox or partner sites.

Eligibility and prerequisites

  • You have Jira Align Cloud and an Atlassian Cloud organization.

  • Rovo is enabled for your organization in Atlassian Admin Hub.

Privacy, access, and controls

Rovo respects Atlassian platform permissions and organizational controls.
