Check out the new epics grid page, now in beta

Hello Jira Align community!

I’m happy to announce the launch of our latest project: a new experience for grid pages in Jira Align. Our first milestone is the beta release of a new Epics grid page. This modernized view for epics is now available for testing in version 11.19.

What’s included

The new experience provides a faster, more performant grid table. Features in the first release include:

  • A familiar, flexible table: Choose the columns you need and navigate with smooth infinite scroll for large datasets.

  • Redesigned inline filters: Apply precise filters with multiple operators on key fields, with an improved, intuitive UX.

  • Deep links and context: Share filtered views to align stakeholders and drive consistency.

  • Hierarchy support: Work seamlessly at Global, Portfolio, Solution, and Program levels with full navigation context.

Rollout timeline

The beta Epics page will be available for sandbox environments in version 11.19.0 on December 5, 2025. It will then be available in production environments when version 11.19.1 ships on December 19, 2025.

By default, the beta will be enabled for all users. You can control access to the experience by switching on or off the Portfolio > Epics (Beta) system role permission.

While we build out more functionality for the new experience, you’ll keep access to the existing Epics grid page. Once we’re ready to set a timeline for transitioning to the new experience, we’ll provide updates in future community posts and release notes.

Feedback

The fastest way to let us know what you need from a new Epics page is to use the Feedback button in the upper-right corner of the page. You can also comment and vote on the current list of potential epic grid improvements.

If you don’t see your preferred improvement in the list, create a new suggestion with the following attributes:

  • Project: Jira Align

  • Component: Epics - Grid

If you'd like to engage further, please feel free to schedule a meeting with me. We will have an opportunity to talk about your grids use cases and Atlassian plans. You can also leave additional feedback using this form.

What’s next

We plan to incrementally deliver the most needed improvements in the next few JA versions. Here you can track plans and progress. Please feel free to vote, comment and add new suggestions. Your feedback will be used to prioritize future enhancements.

Enjoy exploring the new Epics Grid Beta!! Tell us what’s great, what’s tricky, and what would make your experience even better.

Really excited to see this direction for Jira Align. The new Epics grid feels like a big step forward in usability and performance—especially the infinite scroll and redesigned filters. Thanks for investing in this experience and for giving us such a clear path to provide feedback during the beta!
