We're running Confluence v.8.1.0 with PostgreSQL 9.2.25. We are planning to first upgrade PostgreSQL to 14 (or can we go to PostgreSQL 15.x? which isn't officially supported by Atlassian). After the DB upgrade, we plan on upgrading Confluence. The question: Can we upgrade from 8.1.0 directly to 8.5 LTS? Or do we have to upgrade incrementally? From 8.1.0 to 8.2.3 (as recommended by the "Plan you upgrade" page from inside Confluence under Administration) and then whatever is next recommended by "Plan you upgrade"?
Thank you in advance!
Hi @Dan Long You can directly upgrade the Confluence from 8.1.0 to 8.5 and does not require any incremental upgrade. but you need to upgrade the postgres to either 12,13, or 14 as only these versions are supported to Confluence version 8.5
If you upgraded PostgreSQL to v15 and connected it to Confluence 8.5 you might get an error that database version is not supported and please use the lower version of Confluence.
