Hi folks, I upgraded my Confluence environment to the latest 8.4.1. We have one user that is just unable to login. We do have LDAP -> AD and his AD account is fine. When browsing the user group list, I am able to browse to the next couple pages before receiving 'Oops - an error has occurred'. If I click on show 100, I get that error page right away. If I try and remove the problematic user from the group, I get an error. See images below. I've attempted a re-sync to no avail.
In the atlassian-confluence-security.log file i see..
This is bad image but in the group user list, his User and Email columns are blank, only his Username shows..
any help is appreciated.

Check this out - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/ldap-synced-user-showing-user-does-not-exist-with-question-mark-by-the-user-avatar-1096102845.html I think this will help with your issue.
