As mentioned in the initial question, we are using Confluence 2.0 with the Talk plugin for maintaining our product DSDD documentation. When we do documentation updates, we create a Talk comment inline to link it back to the associated gap (for example, Gap ID: GR001).
However, the issue is that once we have done this, attempting to search on that string results in no search results. I have reviewed the Talk documentation and the suggested macros and commands that can be used in the Confluence search bar do not return results. Utilizing the filter options, in the Confluence advanced page, only seems to work when searching by user...not by the actual text of the comment. This won't work as a single user can do hundreds of updates for multiple gaps.
Has anyone successfully searched within Confluence for specific text strings within Talk comments that can point me in the right direction?
Thank you.
Hi @Robert LaBarre ,
Welcome. Assuming this is the app you are referring to:
2.0 is a very old release. It's likely no longer supported. And if that's true, you are on a version of confluence that is also not supported. You may need to consider updating your instance and plugin to get the latest features and support.
Try reaching out to the vender first for their best recommendation on a solution for search.
