How to add a comment to a page?

Just created a space and would like to add some comments to the home page. Confluence doesn't allow me to do it. Seems like you would click on the Add Comment block at the bottom of the page, or the Add with plus sign on the top right, but no luck. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Dan,

Could you please elaborate the issue in more detail. If the issue is Confluence display a comment field but you are not able to add any string into it, the cause of the issue might be due to plugin corruption cache. In order to refreshed your plugin cache, please try the following steps

1. Shutdown Confluence instance
2. Remove the following directories
   • <confluence-home>/bundled-plugins
   • <confluence-home>/plugin-cache
   • <confluence-home>/plugins-osgi-cache
   • <confluence-home>/plugins-temp
   • <confluence-home>/bundled-plugins_language

If the above steps does not help, try to enable plugin safe mode and see if the problem persist.

If Confluence throw some sort of ERROR, please elaborate on more detail and post the ERROR here so that we could review it.

What do you mean by 'Confluence' wouldn't allow it? Does it mean there is an error or you are not seeing an option to add comment? If it is the latter, make sure you have the permissions!
