🗣️ Calling page property report users

Hey everyone!

My team and I are looking to better understand the users of the page property report macro.

If this is something you and your team have experience in using and would be open to chatting with us, please schedule some time for this week using this calendly.

We would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Christina Ristevski | Confluence product manager

Would love to! The available slots are just quite early for Central European Time :)

Written reponse.

Cros-indexing product management, engineering, and service provision docs. So, updates in product management mirror and filter to the appropriate team.

Tracking SOPs and making the editorial cycle easier to handle when paired with a database.

Software version releases for SAAS products, especially SAAS aggregation in our case. EAch of our releases must aggregate a number of vendors, and we need to link them all dynamically as our version changes. Easy to do with some filtering.

Hi @Christina Ristevski

Do you have meetings options that are suited for EMEA.

We are heavy users of page property reports and I have some suggestions for upgrading it.

Best,

Tami

I don't have time that works for you -- but my use case is:

We have an intake form created as a template in Confluence, when someone uses it (we use a button to ensure they do), then the templated-request creates a new page with the request.  For example, our Website team may have a request form in their space that anyone can use.

1.) Confluence automation makes a Jira ticket and comments on the page with the link to it, so our Devs and some others can go into Jira and actually comment on development tasks.

2.) The confluence template has a label embedded in it, and the page properties macro is used to 'see' that label and list the new request in the team section of Confluence (where there are links to jira, dashboards, etc).

3.) When the team completes the request there is some discussion on the confluence page, and it is moved to Done status (using the page statues and some confluence automation).   That same action also removes the original label from the page and adds a different one that makes the recently-completed confluence page appear in a different page report macro, moves the page top a specific area, and eventually archives it.

We have a bunch of our team that use just confluence, and through automation we have both Jira and Confluence entities to track the work from different perspectives.

It's not a 'great' system, since the automation between jira and confluence is not very sophisticated, and the limitation of the page report macro make it a bit hard to use, but once it was set up there wasn't much need to change it.
