ElasticBamboo custom AMI Image User

Hi,

I'm trying to create a custom AMI Image for Bamboo to connect to, however I don't understand how I should be doing it.

What I did

1. Create a Debian-based instance (AMI ami-a345c3d4, region eu-west)
2. Install the tools I'll need to run my builds (python, nodejs, ...)
3. Create an image from EC2 console
4. Configure create an bamboo user + IAM policy
5. Configure that image in Bamboo
6. Start the instance

However, it seems that Bamboo doesn't manage to connect to the instance: when installing the agent, it keeps on saying "pending".

After investigating a bit, it seems that it tries to connect using the "ec2-user" user, whereas the user on Debian images is "admin".

What is the correct way to work this around? I can't find where you should define which user you should connect as.

I would suggest using our Ubuntu images copied to EU west, it should be easier. We will soon release these images for all regions.
