If your Confluence setup is powered by Refined, chances are you care about more than just functionality. You’re building intuitive, on-brand workspaces that feel like they belong to your team, not just another default wiki.
That’s why we’re excited to share:
Just Add+ now works beautifully on Refined Sites for Confluence Cloud, for cleaner, branded docs.
If you’re using Just Add+ to embed Markdown, Git repos, or create diagrams, you’ll now get clean, consistent rendering inside your Refined layout!
Rendered Markdown
Git content from GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket
Diagrams (Mermaid, PlantUML, and more)
Swagger / OpenAPI
Embedded HTML blocks
If you’re already a Refined user, here’s the good news:
For a while, teams using Refined with Confluence Cloud couldn’t always see their Just Add+ macros rendered properly. It was a bummer, you could build something great in Confluence, only to have it break in your Refined view.
But Refined’s Embedded Pages feature changes that.
Now, when enabled on private Refined sites (hosted on refined.site), your Confluence pages use Refined’s custom wrapper, and Just Add+ content renders like it should: clean, functional, and fully styled.
One Caveat:
This only works under a few specific conditions:
Your Refined site must be private
You must use Refined’s default domain (not a custom domain)
Embedded Pages mode must be enabled
This has less to do with Just Add+ or Refined, and more to do with Atlassian’s sandboxing policies for cloud content and iframes.
Still, if you’re in the right setup, everything just works.
This article is the short and sweet announcement, but if you want the full story (with examples, setup tips, and screenshots), I wrote up the complete blog post on JustAdd.com.
I’d love to hear how you’re using Refined, and what it looks like when you start adding Just Add+ into the mix!
