A new, unified Atlassian Community is here

We’re bringing all the best parts of Atlassian Community and Learning together so it's easier for you to access the resources you need to learn, connect, and grow. We’ve focused on addressing the top pain points we’ve heard from the community:

  • A fragmented help and learning ecosystem makes it difficult to find the right resources.
  • Managing multiple accounts across the Atlassian ecosystem is taxing.
  • People struggle to find real-life use cases and best practices, and want opportunities to connect with their peers.

As part of the redesign, we’ve launched a bunch of new features and moved some things around, so we’ve provided an overview of the key changes. This launch is just step one as we continue to quickly iterate and improve from here.

Improved user experience and navigation

We’ve improved the overall look and feel of community, and introduced a new navigation that brings forums, learning, and events together. No more bouncing between different sites – all of community is now at your fingertips and easy to find.

A new unified profile

All community members now have a new and improved profile to help you better showcase your contributions and Atlassian expertise. Think of it as your official Atlassian resume, allowing you to show off your skills, achievements, and status to your employers or clients, boosting your career opportunities.

Here are some of the benefits:

A unified snapshot of your achievements and skills

We now bring together all your activities and achievements across community (from forums, learning, and soon, community events) into a single profile view.

A profile that moves with you

The new profile is built to be portable, which means you’ll never lose access to your account or achievements throughout your career.

Previously, if you changed jobs or created a new community account, any activity you’d earned would be lost, and you’d need to start your profile from scratch.

Now, you can link multiple community accounts to a chosen personal account, aggregating your achievements together and ensuring you always have access. Learn how to link accounts and assign a primary account

More privacy control

Previously, your community profile was publicly accessible, with no option to change this. With the new profile, we’ve added the ability to control whether your profile is public or private. Learn how to update your privacy settings

What’s next for profile

We’re continuing to work on improvements to the profile. Next up, we’re working on:

  • Including your Atlassian Community Events activity.

  • Adding the ability to give Peer Kudos.

We have a longer list of features on our roadmap. Let us know in the comments which feature you’d like us to work on next.

  • Custom URLs: the ability to customize your public profile URL

  • Account switcher: ability to switch between community accounts

  • Enhanced privacy settings: ability to set specific components as public or private

  • Social sharing: ability to share achievements more easily on social channels

  • Custom layout: ability to rearrange the order of profile components

A brand new Atlassian Learning platform

We’ve also built a whole new Atlassian Learning experience so we can deliver more engaging, flexible learning to meet your needs.

In this first release, we’ve overhauled on-demand learning – making it easier to take online learning paths and courses to level up your skills, and track your progress. We’ll continue adding to and improving the experience over time, so watch this space!

To get started, select Learning from the top navigation, then On-demand learning. You can browse all learning content from the catalog, or explore our curated collections.

This is just the beginning of the Atlassian Learning evolution. We’re continuing to build out the experience, and will be rolling out more features and enhancements in the coming months. That means some functionality will remain on the old Atlassian Learning platform for now, including scheduling certifications, live training, making payments, and some personal settings.

Different names and domains

You’ll notice some of your links have changed to bring everything together into one community website. We’ve also changed the name of some of the sites. Don’t worry, your links should automatically redirect you to the right place, but you may want to update some of your bookmarks.

Atlassian Community (now Atlassian Community Forums)

What was previously Atlassian Community (with product questions, answers, and discussions groups) is now called Atlassian Community Forums. The root domain community.atlassian.com now displays an overview of forums, events and learning. If you want to bookmark the forums homepage, use community.atlassian.com/forums.

Atlassian University

We’ve retired Atlassian University and introduced a new brand, Atlassian Learning. community.atlassian.com/learning

Atlassian Community Events

Events is now in the navigation, along with a new overview page found at community.atlassian.com/events. The full community events site is still found at ace.atlassian.com. We’ll be looking to fully integrate events into community in future.

There’s more to come

This initial launch is just the beginning. We’re committed to building experiences that enable you — our community — to connect, learn, and grow in better ways, and we have an exciting roadmap of improvements to come. If you have suggestions, ideas, or feedback, feel free to leave a comment below!

Ready to dive in?

Start by exploring your new profile, and making sure it’s up to date. Head to your profile avatar in the top right, then select Profile from the dropdown menu. If you have multiple community accounts, link them so your stats get aggregated in your profile. Visit Settings from your profile avatar to start linking.

I like the new portability of one's account, no matter where you are in your career journey.

Truly some amazing progress has been made by you and your team @Stephanie Grice - I love to see it evolve to fit exactly what we need!

Account switcher would be great for the next feature on the backlog
