Hi,
I've been trying to create a plan from my project - to capture the Initiative -- > Feature -- > Epic --- > Story overall picture and progress.
The problem is that when choosing the source - no matter if I use the project or the scrum board, it doesn't capture more than 300 issues. The current number of issues in the project is ~900.
Any thoughts of why this limitation?
Thanks
Sorin
Joseph has given a great answer here about the issue limits for a plan and how it's likely that issues are missing from your plan, rather than hitting a limit - I completely agree this is likely the case.
A bit of extra info that may help you here:
- The most common reason that issues aren't showing up in a plan is that they're marked as "Done". By default, if an issue has been marked done for longer than 30 days then it will be excluded from your plan.
- We've recently rolled out a feature called "Find Your Issue" which can help identify why issues aren't showing up in your plan. To use it just click "Plan settings" -> "Find your issue" in the plan sidebar. You can then put in the issue key of any issue which you expect to be in appearing but isn't, and you'll get information about why it isn't showing up and how to make it appear.
Please let me know if I can help out with this at all or if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Daniel
Thanks Daniel.
Indeed, as I was replying to Joseph, the "issue" was the 30 days limit for "Done" issues.
Increased to 1,000 days and everything is OK!
Thanks for your reply and help!

Based on my understanding, each plan (by default) has a issue limits of 5000. Since your plan's issue source has a count under this limitation, you need to review the following reference links to determine if why issues are missing from your plan - (even though those links are referencing Jira on-prems env, but the same rule checks apply to the Cloud env.)
Hope this helps.

Thanks Joseph for the reply
It looks like the "issue" with the missing issues was them being done for more than 30 days.
AND me not knowing where to change that limit :-)
Increased the limit to 1,000 days - and "magically" I now have all my (current) 886 issues displayed!
Thanks a lot for your help!

Sorin
