does collabotation of basic and business user work?

andrea karl March 16, 2021

As roles in projects are different, some will "only" have to fulfill some tasks on cards, other are the project owner and as the board owner they need a broader view to lead the project. Question: can basic and business users work together? Can a business user give a task to a basic user? And can the basic user then comment on it? And if so: will the basic user still be free of charge?

Or will the company be charged for anybody who fulfils a task?

How about external parties such as agencys - can we collaborate with a trello board?

Thanks!

All boards live inside a Team (or what will soon be called a Workspace).

You can add members to the Team/Workspace, and then you have to pay for those people.

You can alternatively, add people *directly* to each board.  These are called Guests.  If you add someone to one board, they are free.  If you add them to two or more, then they are paid.

Regardless of the billing, all boards inside a Team/Workspace that you have paid for will have Business Class features.

Thanks Michael. So basically e.g.  if a marketing person is in different projects (not as owner/leader of board/project) and needs to fulfill specific tasks in different project boards, this person would then need to be paid for as he/she is working on different boards.

So as it will not be realistic that a lot of persons only working on 1 board - which would be free. As I understand it, it does not matter if the person works on my 4 different boards or if the person works on one board of 4 different collegues, correct?

so we would need the Business Version for many more collegues even if they only have to do specific taks?
