Is there a way to insert a directory link that only shows the directory in the Finder (Mac!) and does not simply download a file?

There is a workaround. It's just not that sexy...
I create a checklist and add the link to the list. By clicking on the link, pressing the right mouse button and Services -> Show in Finder I also get to the target. Works, but is not quite elegant.
I don’t think web browsers allow you to do this anymore. There used to be a file:/// protocol but I think with web security settings now I haven’t really seen this in a long time. Also it would rely on everyone’s machine having the same local file directory structure.
