Hi @Ari

You can create an automation to add an existing checklist to all new cards with automation:

  1. Automation > Rules > Create Automation
  2. Select Trigger:  Card Move > "When a card is created in" with no filters (e.g., don't specify any list. Then click +.Create Trigger in Trello.png
  3. Then the action: "Add the [NAME OF YOUR ORIGINAL CHECKLIST] from card [NAME OF ORIGINAL CARD] to the card." Test Checklist.png

This is what my "Test Card" looks like:

From then on, all newly created cards will have that same checklist added to them in that board across all lists.

If that helps, please don't forget to accept this as the solution!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

@Ari Can you take a screenshot and add it here in the thread? I tried again in a free account and I was able to go through those steps.

From the board you're working in, you click on "Automation" (the lightning bolt symbol) then Rules:

Next you click Create automation:

Then, Add Trigger:

Hey @Ari I just tried it again and it worked. It might be case sensitive so make sure you copy paste the exact name of the original card and the checklist.

@Ari I'm not sure what else to suggest, I recorded a quick video showing you exactly what I did (no audio)

Ari June 6, 2024

@Josh_Unito do you maybe think my other automation triggers are messing with it ?

@Ari in the video you shared, I didn't see a Test Card 2.0, which is what your rules referenced.

The automation also won't retroactively add a checklist to existing cards, only new ones you create.
