When I create a card in trello via the API, how do I specify the custom fields?

So when I am using the API to create Trello cards, I want to fill in the custom fields for that card as well when creating. How do I do this? Example code would be much appreciated!

I have read that. The problem i am having is when I create a card with the post, I want to include the info to make the customfields along with the creation of a card. How can I do this?
