Unable to get member email in Trello Apis

Hi Team, I am using trello premium subscription and I found that we are not able to find email for the workspace members and board members. We event tried trello membership api: 

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/trello/rest/api-group-members/#api-members-id-get

It always return null for the members.
1. Is this expected behavior or is it because of missing permission ?
2. Is there any alternative to get email id for members ?

This is by design I believe.  For protection, it doesn't report the email addresses of the users.  

It is misleading because the example shows an email address but as far as I know, this is not something you can access via the API
