Trello repeater creating duplicates

josef novak February 18, 2022

Hello,

I Am using trello repeater so daily tasks are repeatedly shown. But it is not deleting overdue tasks and creating more cards of same ones. How do I set it up: so old overdue cards get automatically deleted?

Thanks!

EDIT: Ah, I think I found a solution: https://trello.com/templates/productivity/daily-task-management-GT0TOUyX

If something doesn't work I let you know :)

Hey Josef, glad that you found a solution!

One more thing: how do I make it so tasks from a "To Do Today" list are replicated each day without having there overdue tasks from a previous day, which were left unfinished?

E.g. when I put to "To Do Today" list 12 tasks, I want them appear each day anew... So I don't have to create them every day again, but in a case I don't finish some - I don't want unfinished tasks appear twice, since I will be doing them every day anyways!

EDIT: I was using repeater, but now I see there is command for that in butler. I Am going to try that this way... Tho I Am not sure, how to do this without creating duplicates: in a case with unfinished tasks left in the list!

I also followed this tutorial to automate boards: https://www.mfry.uk/articles/trello-template-help?utm_source=trello&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=referal

But it doesn't make sense, I end up with this: trello to do today.png

"To Do Tasks" list disappears and is replaced with "Done Today" list from previous day, which logically should be to the right from "Done Today". Also now I have no "To Do Tasks list".

I Am confused how this template is supposed to work. I have also no daily task list, after adding this template...
