Label color and text visible but not allowing for label color only

I have used the semicolon shortcut because previously all labels disappeared. Now when I use the semicolon to make the labels reappear, it only gives the option of label color with text. I want to only view the label color on the card and every so often view it with the text. This option was doable prior to adding a few card extensions but I have since removed them because it made my labels disappear and now it is not working correctly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@Elizabeth San Martin are you sure that you didn't just have labels before that didn't have text? You can add labels of a colour without adding any text, perhaps one of the extensions you were using removed your labels that were colours only.
