Is there a way to send an email notification that includes the content of the comment/mention?

Nikki Larkin April 24, 2021

Our team relies on email notifications when they are mentioned or something is added to the to-do list. I find it awkward that the email that they receive has to have a generic message on it rather than give them a preview of the comment, card or mention in question.

Thank you!

Hi Nikki,

Thanks for reaching out!

The email notification a user receives when they're @mentioned in a comment should show the comment, and provide a link to the card & board:

Let me know if you're seeing something different!

In any case, you could potentially build your own custom notifications using a Butler command. Here's an example:

To find this action, you'll need to look under the Content tab.

You can build your report/notification using variables: https://help.trello.com/article/1157-variables

I hope this helps!

All the best,
