Is there a way to lock lists so I stop archiving them?

Terri Kempthorne February 20, 2019

I keep accidentally archiving my Done list. Is there a way to "lock" it to the board so I can't do this?

@Terri Kempthorne not really but you can unarchive it by going to archived items and choosing "switch to lists".

Again, Butler would be able to automatically unarchive the Done list every time it's archived:

When a list named "Done" is archived unarchive the list

and the corresponding Trellinator code is:

It's not that easy to archive lists though -- how do you keep doing it accidentally?

Easy, you click on the menu bar in the top right corner of the list to access the ability to archive all the cards in the list (because I clear out my Done list every few days), and the option to ARCHIVE LIST is listed right underneath ARCHIVE ALL CARDS.

@Terri Kempthorne I see :) Well, if you're clearing out a list and want to avoid accidentally archiving the entire list, you could mouse over the top card and hold down the "c" key which will archive even hundreds of cards in a matter of seconds.

Otherwise you could just archive the list and create another list called "Done" in it's place OR even better you could change the name of the list to "Done 21 Feb 2019" and then archive the list and create a new "Done" list in it's place, which would give you a neater archive of lists showing you on which date you'd archived your completed cards.
