Is there a way to have the board layout horizontal instead of vertical? To avoid having the scroll left and right to see everything.

Ah, just realised ... rotate the display.  If you have a trello board up all the time, consider a second monitor, but one that will turn 90 degrees and just have it all on there.

Considering that for my email que as lot of folders to file emails in, and needing to scroll a lot.

Means a second graphics card and monitor, but could be worth it, with the plus that you can read portrait documents on it larger and as a page of decent size.

I've a 3 monitor setup, and considering a 4th to make it possible.

No, as its a left to right drop down app.  Some chrome plug ins alter how its viewed, and there is one that will put a drop line break so you can file stuff below that line, and then click so it folds up.  Put all the more distant stuff below that line.

We have pro 4 trello, and trello folds ... think its the latter that gives the ability.

Failing that, if you can sub divide into more "lists" then would reduce the length.
