I cannot log in via Trello Desktop.

John Wies April 12, 2018

Good day!

The thing is that I cannot log in using username/e-mail in the desktop app. I may authorize on iPhone app or Web version, so the wrong password is not the issue. The app shows me the main page:

The solution for this problem is deleting full cache.

On iOS users. Open terminal and execute this command with a sudo user, if not, just ad SUDO to the command.

rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.atlassian.trello

 You are welcome.

Problem solve. I used an app to uninstall Trello and the next day login worked. I dont know if it was to uninstall with an app is the reason it is now working but worth to try if you have this issue

CelesteMultimedia February 14, 2019

Which app did you use to uninstall it?

Hi John,

Crystal from Trello Support here!

We'd love to take a closer look into what's going on. As there may be some information shared that is private to your account, can you please send us an email here: https://trello.com/contact

Thanks so much!

Any solution? The same happens to me. I try login and the program always comes back to the page above.

I have never had to login before because the program kept me signed in since first time login. It's not a login credentials issue. There seems to be some kind of loop in the program.

I've got the same issue on a Mac. Suddenly started happening earlier today. The app booted me out, and won't let me back in. As soon as I sign in, it loops back to the screen above.

I uninstalled, ran a registry cleaner and reinstalled and it's working now.

Thanks for the tip @Joao Curro. I uninstalled, then reinstalled (no registry cleaner though), and now it's working again.

@Aaron Stewart @Joao Curro Thanks, I had the same problem. Before uninstalling, I tried cleaning the app cache (~/Library/Caches/) on mac and it started working.
