How to manually 'ping' a specific person in Slack from a Trello card.

I'd like to 'ping' someone in Slack from within a trello card. The auto-generated alerts in the Slack power-up are good, but this is different. 

Use case: 

I'm in a trello card and want to send my colleague Jane Smith a slack note. Is there a command inside Trello, that will generate a Slack note to my colleagues Slack handle?

There isn't a way to do that currently, but I get why you'd want to have that kind of feature available.

Ok, great. My design team has been really diving into optimizing the way we use Trello and Slack. We've developed a few protocols that have been tremendously helpful in streamlining our process. This feature—to slack notify someone from within a trello card—would be super helpful. 

Since we are such a Slack-heavy company, we rarely use email anymore.
