How to make certain users to edit certain lists in the same board

Joy Ye January 10, 2019

hi,

First, I am kind of confused about the board members and the team members. I appreciate that if someone could explain it with an example.

Also, I have a small team about 10 people. I want to have everyone to have view permission on all lists in a board. But different people only allowed to edit or modify on the list which was assigned to him/her.

Thank you if you could help me out.

@Joy Ye permissions for editing etc. are all at the board level. You can disallow people from self joining, which means everyone on a team will have view access to all boards in that team that are team visible, but won't be able to join themselves without being invited. You can also set that only admins can invite.

But you can't, for example, allow team members to edit some cards/lists and not others, within a single board.
