How to edit a card on one board and have it also edited on another board

Alabi Kolade July 15, 2018

I was wondering if there was a way to edit lists on one trello board and have it appear in real time on another board. This is what I mean:

I have board A and B. and I have list A which i have on both board A and B. I was wondering if it is possible to edit List A on Board A and have the list change in real time on Board B without having to manually edit Board B .

Hi Alabi,

While card syncing isn't a native feature of Trello, you can add a link to the original card on the new card so that you can refer back to it easily. When you attach a link to a Trello card on another card, it will display a preview of that card, and will show which board and list it belongs to. You can also click on the "Connect cards" link to make it a 2-way link, so that both cards link to each other.

This won't work for entire lists, though, only cards. You might also want to look into a few third-party Power-Ups that do allow for automatic card syncing:

We also recently launched an article on our blog where we explained how to connect boards together to achieve a more flexible workflow, which might help: https://blog.trello.com/using-multiple-boards-for-a-super-flexible-workflow

This can be easily accomplished using Unito. You can start by taking a look at our Trello + Trello integration page, and signing up for a free trial!
