Doc previews no longer showing--just automatically download

This only recently started happening on desktop. I can still see previews of PDFs and images, but when I go to preview a Word Doc, it just automatically updates. This is frustrating because I need to preview different versions of docs to make sure I'm uploading the correct one. Anyone else experiencing this issue? It's been happening for the last month or so.

I have just noticed this happening too with word documents. They automatically download now when normally you can preview it first, then select to download if you wish. Very frustrating.

Would love a reason/answer from Atlassian/Trello as to why.

Very frustrating. I normally attach pdfs and was able to preview them. Now they automatically download and I have to open the actual file to view it. Wonder if there is a way to turn off the function.
