I'm new to Trello and am using it to manage an annual cycle of work. I've done a lot of searching but can't find an answer to my question. There are two date custom fields on the card - Last year's meeting date and this year's meeting date. When the cycle for the year is completed, the card moves to the final list and I want to copy the current year's meeting date to the Last year's meeting date field so we are prepped for next year. Is there a way to do this? When I look at all the actions for an automation related to date fields, the only options I see are time-related parameters - now, 1 year from now, 1 week from now, etc. I'm hoping this is something simple that I'm just missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for reaching out!
Just to confirm, did you want to set up a rule where the "Current year's meeting date" Custom Field replaces the Custom Field "Last year's meeting date"?
If so, you'll want to set up a rule like this:
The set custom field action is under the Fields tab.
In this example, the {{%Field name}} variable is used to reference a Custom Field’s value in an action. More on that here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/working-with-custom-fields/
Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.
All the best,
Lara

worked great! I didn't know I could type a field into to the "set custom field" blank - it only brought up non-date fields to select and I thought I had to select one of them. Thanks for the help!
