Open Trello from the app on MacOS, Windows, Android, iOS or from any browser.
Log in to Trello using username and password.
Go into any card and click on „Description“
Submit multiple lines starting with „-“ in order to create bullet points and add empty lines between some of these bullet points.
To see empty lines where you wanted.
The whole list will appear with bullet points with no empty lines on the places where you put them, you’ll see them only when you edit.
@[deleted] this seems to me to be equal parts bug or feature depending on your perspective. Why not use the --- in between lists to delineate them, or have intervening headings? What's your motivation for using empty lines to separate lists like that?
It's easier for the eyes and easier to process. It's an expected behaviour on paper, word processors and other note taking with auto bullet creating. It is easier to manage than a one bulk text. Imagine changing, weakling, each time I have to add --- and then cut-copy-pasting that? Doesn't look practical to me, especially on mobile devices – phones and tablets. This is not set-and-done scenario, on long lists it makes sense to separate them like that throw the work process, would be horrific experience if I have to cut-copy-paste "---" just because empty lines are not accepted by the software.
It looks like a bug to me as it is not a normal behaviour in any software with list creating ability, including word editors etc.
In my experience Trello for desktop is an abandoned cause anyway. The app for MacOS is full with glitches that nobody wants to resolve. I guess "too big to change" is not motivating the developers to push harder and be "hungry" anymore.
The best benefit of Trello is speed and design which lacks eye fatigue neon colors that everyone uses now. However the glitches, man, I have reported dozens and none of them is fixed from 6+ months.
