I'm using Trello on Firefox, both for personal use, and for work use under a corporate Trello.
At work, when I drag a card from, say, Doing list to DONE list, the card just moves from list to list, which is what I want. But at home, after dragging the card, it always opens as well, which I don't want.
How can I stop Trello from editing a card when I move it? I haven't found any controls that address this.
Editing to add: I am using Trello on Firefox 83.0 on Windows 10. All maintenance is current on both Firefox and Windows.
Also, following a suggestion below, I see that Trello functions as expected on the Chrome browser. The problem only occurs on Firefox, of the two browsers.
For the sake of anyone else who experiences this issue, the culprit turns out to be a Firefox add-on called "Tap to Tab" that causes a double-tap or double-click to open a link in a new tab. Once I disabled this add-on, my issue stopped happening.
Thanks for this info, it helped me too. For anyone else finding this thread: The add-on "Tap to Tab" has a black-list where you can disable the add-on just for individual domains. Just add "trello.com" to that black-list.

This is super weird. Try in an incognito window to make sure there isn't an extension doing this - I know Trello doesn't auto-open cards for you after dragging so something is definitely going on.

Thanks. I tried it in a Firefox Private Window, and the behaviour is the same. Drat the card, drop the card, then wait while Trello opens the card in edit.

I followed a suggestion by Soumyadeep Mandal above and found that Trello behaves correctly on Chrome.

Hi @Steve Walton ,
Welcome to the community!
The drag and drop feature of Trello which is to move a card from one list to another is the same as the Free plan, Business plan. So you might be doing it the wrong while dragging the card from a list to another.
You might be clicking twice while dragging and drop!
Please try on different browsers & devices. If you face the same problem comment below!
And also Log out of your Trello account Clear the cache from the browser/app then restart the browser/app and then re-log into your account!

Thank you for the quick response.
1. I am definitely not clicking twice, but thanks for the suggestion.
2. Very interesting. The aberrant behaviour seems to be confined to Firefox. It works correctly on the Chrome browser.
3. I followed your suggestion of logging out, clearing my Firefox cache, then restarting the Firefox browser and re-logging in to Trello. It made no difference, and the behaviour persists.
I forgot to mention in my OP that I am using Trello on Firefox on Windows 10, if that makes any difference.
