Automation does not work automatically. Useless @ the end.

STEPHANE TRICART June 6, 2024

I have this automation:

"when a due date is set on a card with an overdue due date, set due date today at 6:00 am"

Which is working when I move card on the board to old date or when I change the date to an old date in the card directly. But this automation is not working automaticaly when I open Trello first time morning after 6 am (like this mornign around 8 am) when a card is late I have either to move to be sure Trello is checking it and upddate the date or open the card to change the date to an old one and Trello is doing the Job.

Looks like Trello is not doing the job automatically or Maybe my automation is not correct.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Stephane,

Is this similar to the automation that you have setup? Given that my criteria is more than 5 days overdue. Here I am using a due date automation:

One important note is that automation isn't retroactive, so the actions will only trigger when the events happen after the rules are created.

When you create an automation with a trigger "when a due date is set on a card with an overdue due date", any card with a due date that becomes overdue, after this automation is created, will trigger this automation. It doesn't apply to cards with due dates that are overdue from before this automation was created.

You can also check your automation log to know how your automation is running:

I hope this helps, but let us know if you have any questions!
