App custom Field is acts different than desktop??

Hey, why does the time stamp for custom fields on the Trello app put the exact time that you are using the Trello app but when you use Trello desktop the time stamp needs to be entered manually? I wish the desktop version would be the same as the app to save time and automatically enter the time it is. Is there a way around this?

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but you could create a Butler rule to say that any time a card is added to the board, you can set the custom field to now?
