Trello Consultants Right Here In The Community!

I have seen a handful of questions over the years with folks looking for Trello consultants, so I wanted to make one roundup post with the answer I found and people who chimed in across all those questions!

Of course, you're always free to post in the community and ask for advice and your questions and there's never a charge for that. But sometimes it's nice to have someone come into your organization and build your workflows and help you figure out exactly the best way to use Trello for your use case. If you're looking for that, here are some folks to help you out.

You can also search for Partners on the Atlassian Partner directory, just filter by "Trello" and "Consulting".

Note: Not all of these folks are available for consulting at this time, so please notice the tags under Services on their name. For instance, I am not personally offering consulting at this time, but I'm offering courses, trainings, and free content to help folks learn more about Trello.

@Alex _ Trello hi there, if you're getting this question a lot have you considered pushing to get Trello included properly in the Atlassian partner program? Currently you have a Trello category but you can't become a partner unless you're a specialist in other Atlassian software, so for people who are "Trello purists" you don't have any category, only for companies who were already Atlassian consultants and then tacked Trello on as an afterthought following the acquisition.

Hi @Iain Dooley, as I work in the Trello Support team, I wouldn't be the one to reach out to with this feedback. Are you already a Partner? If so, can you share this feedback with your contacts at Atlassian in the Partner program?

@Alex _ Trello No I'm not already a partner, because in order to become a partner you have to be a specialist in other Atlassian software apart from Trello. I have shared this feedback with the person who was doing the partner program intake, as well as senior Trello staff but haven't seen any changes announced.

@Iain Dooley can you share the name of the employee you shared this feedback with? I'm happy to message them internally and ask them to take a look at this article!

Sorry if it felt like I was pushing you away in my last response, I just have zero clue who manages the partner program at Atlassian as I'm not on that side of the business.

@Iain Dooley one other thing you could do that never hurts is also raise this as feedback for the founders at https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/contact-ceos

Definitely agree it would be awesome if there was a place that we could be listed, kinda similar to https://zapier.com/experts

Great job @Brittany Joiner

How do we get this article featured (pinned)?

@Alicia Filíu Birlanga I spoke with an Atlassian Channel Manager some months ago and it seems very unlikely that Trello consultants will be added to the Atlassian partner program any time soon.  😞

Thank you @Brittany Joiner for your support!! You'll get it!!

One question about this kind of conversation: How can I answer the comment directly? (like in slack, for example) I mean, If I want only answer to a determinated comment, can I do it?

@Alicia Filíu Birlanga not sure i understand what you mean. Are you asking about replying to comments on this post? There aren't threaded replies like in Slack in this format of a post (since it's an article and not a question), so you can just reply inline and tag the user you're looking for, just like you did to comment me!

Hey amazing Trello people!

We are just starting our Trello journey but we have a good Idea of how we want things to work..... just not how to make them work within Trello haha. Just to give you some background here's who we are and where we've come from to get us here:

We are a high end custom cabinet company that loves Lean manufacturing. We have been trying harder and harder to create a central location of information for jobs, especially for tasks that have to possibly cycle back through the business.

We started a super ugly board (see photo) where we had a card representing each job all the way from bids down to eliminating the job from our system. Each spot we moved a card to would prompt us to do a new set of tasks.

We started using Microsoft ToDo as the background information for this board. Each of the jobs would be created as a list in ToDo with the rooms of the house as tasks and then the subtasks would be actual items that needed accomplishing usually marked with a hashtag.

We also mixed in some GTD mentality and had folders and lists per job/emnployee role so we could divvy up random tasks each day.

All that being said..... we've done all the long math and we're sick of it haha. We want the shortcuts! We want to build all of it together in Trello, automate the hell out of it and throw away this physical ugly board in my office.

We have been tinkering in Trello for a few weeks now and can't seem to break our minds out of the box enough to make our system fit Trello or vise versa. We've collectively watched a ton of youtube videos and tutorials but still are having a hard time connecting the dots.

We would love some personal training and guidance! Even if we have to pay for it.... cause we are already paying for it one way or another.

Thanks!

Hi Adam @Prestige Woodworks

I l personally love your whiteboard, it is a work of art 😀

You are looking at a consultant who can guide you towards trelloizing your well defined workflow and although I can't use this thread for external promotion, I can say that there will be someone in that list of consultants who will be able to bring Trello to your business context.

I always say that Trello's greatest strength is also its greatest weakness.  It is so flexible, so open and so capable it is difficult to know where to start.  With the right consultant, you can get over that hurdle and start to make Trello work for you.

Use the contact details above to contact a few (cough cough...😜) and find the one who you feel is the best fit for you.
