sourcetree interface does not open (closes automatically) on windows10

i downloaded SourceTreeSetup-3.3.9 application. When double click - it tries to launch sourcetree. While it shows a window like (attached), it closes down automatically within 3-4 seconds....can help?

Thank you Daniel. Yes, this was a new install....I could get it working after moving back to 2.6 version.

that sounds strange - could you please review the logfiles if there is any root cause to be found there (if there is an error in it feel free to post it here)?

Did I understand it right that this is a fresh install of SourceTree and it never worked on that PC before?
