I have sourcetree on an old computer. I access my project to do my job everyday. I need to install sourcetree on a new computer. I don't know what bitbucket is.
Sourcetree on my old computer shows no drop-down for 'hosts' in the accounts setting. Installing on the new computer shows a drop-down with 'bitbucket' and 'github' and such. My project is hosted on github, why do I need bitbucket?
I need to do my job.
It took 2 engineers 10min to setup after I had installed the software. Not including the time to clone.
This is the worst software I've ever used.
Hello! Sourcetree is made by Atlassian, who is also the provider of Bitbucket (just like how Microsoft is the owner of GitHub).
As Sourcetree is a free product, we require a one-time login with a Bitbucket account. After logging into Sourcetree you'll be able to add remote accounts for many different providers, which will allow you to use those projects with Sourcetree.
