Unable to perform git clone on windows: First time user

Hi All,

This is my first time getting to grips with Gitbucket.

I was just following the User guide where it asked me to clone a created repository but when I follow instructiond - Firefox says it cannot load page or needs additional software. I may have missed some installation steps but cannot identify where I went wrong.

Installed: Source Tree

Please can you offer some guidance?!?

Hi!

Looks like you're on Windows, however I can see you're using some Unix commands and those won't work by default. My recommendation is that you install Git for Windows, which provides a Bash emulation used to run Git from the command line. It behaves just like the git command in Unix environments. It's free and you can download it at https://git-for-windows.github.io/

Yes, I am on Windows and was using Git CMD for above commands. I will try with Bash as suggested.
